Some Common Well Problems

A common issue with water wells is the well pump. Often, these run on electricity, so the first thing you should check is if power goes to the pump. If the power is fine, then the pump is the problem. The pump often works by being submerged in water, and if the water level has dropped below the pump, then air may have gotten into the system. Fortunately, this issue isn't too hard to fix.

Another problem is with the water pressure. Your pressure tank should be around 40 psi, and if it falls below or above this mark too much, then this will affect the water well. The water pressure could also be inconsistent. Our technicians can adjust the pump so that it creates enough pressure to get the job done.

Wells can last forever but If yours is older, then sediment buildup, rust, or similar issues may cause the well to not work as well. Let us know if this is the case, and our team can come and inspect the well to see what we can do.

Signs from your well you need water filtration. Orange staining in your toilets, sinks, dishwasher, washing machine or on your white clothes. White milky stains on your glass shower doors. Blue or green stains in your sinks. Your plumbing fittings under the house are starting to crack. If you are experiencing any of these issues some sort of filtration is needed. We carry a computerized lab on our truck so we can fully diagnose any problems are you having.
